About Us
The Kansas City Chi Omega Alumnae Association is a fabulous group of women in the KC area dedicated to making a difference and having fun doing so. We are a laid back and welcoming group, representing a wide range of ages. Our Young Alumnae members are a bit more adventurous in their social outings and our dedicated group of Daytimers and Book Club ladies keep things just as exciting. The lovely thing is we all share the bond of sisterhood in Chi Omega and when we all come together for our annual Holiday Gathering or Eleusinia, it's a beautiful thing.

Our organization was established on September 8, 1906. Our alumnae chapter was the eighth one chartered by the Fraternity. Our charter members were: Gertude Taylor, Edith Knight Bedell, Ethel Murphy, Jessie Parker, Pearl Maser and Louise Knight (all of the Lambda Chapter), Frances Swope Hyde of Mu, and Effie Jones Bickel of Psi. The group would hold social meetings every two months and would meet with the actives at the Lambda Chapter either at Thanksgiving or in March. Our first official delegate to the 1908 Chi Omega Convention in Chicago, IL was Jessie Parker.
